Gracetown Construction is built on two decades of hard work, craftsmanship and real-world onsite learning. Matty started swinging a hammer in 2004 — renovating residential homes and developing the kind of hands-on knowledge you only get by doing the work yourself.

In 2010, Matt and his family moved to the South West — while Matty honed his skills in large-scale commercial formwork on mining sites, where precision and high-stakes concrete construction became second nature. In 2014, he decided to commit fully to the region he loves, focusing entirely on custom residential builds in the Margaret River area.

Matt's reputation was built long before Gracetown Construction. For years, he was the carpenter that several of the South West's most respected custom home builders called first — and while doing that work, he was quietly building his own team, mentoring carpenters and apprentices who are now the backbone of every Gracetown project.

Now a Registered Builder, Matt brings everything those years on the tools taught him — the detail, the standards, how to manage a team of trades and the understanding of how a building really works — to every project he leads.

The difference is that now he's running the whole picture: coordinating trades, managing timelines, and making sure every build is delivered the way it should be.
